Notification Types
Learn about the different types of notifications you can receive.
Configure notifications for different types of events and activities in your workspace.
Available Notification Types
New Messages
Get notified when new messages arrive in conversations:
- All Conversations: Receive notifications for all new messages
- Assigned to Me: Only notify for conversations assigned to you
- Mentions Only: Only notify when you're mentioned
- Off: Disable new message notifications
Mentions
Notifications when you're mentioned in conversations:
- @mentions: Get notified when someone mentions you by name
- Direct Mentions: Notifications for direct mentions only
- Team Mentions: Include team-wide mentions
Assignments
Alerts when conversations are assigned:
- Assigned to Me: Notify when conversations are assigned to you
- Reassigned: Notify when assignments change
- Unassigned: Notify when conversations become unassigned
System Updates
Important system and feature updates:
- Feature Releases: Notifications about new features
- Maintenance: Alerts about scheduled maintenance
- Security Alerts: Important security notifications
- Account Changes: Notifications about account modifications
Team Activity
Notifications about team member actions:
- Member Changes: When members join or leave
- Role Changes: When member roles are updated
- Team Updates: General team activity updates
Configuring Notification Types
- Go to Settings → Notifications.
- Find the notification type you want to configure.
- Toggle it on or off.
- For some types, you can configure additional options:
- Frequency (immediate, digest, etc.)
- Channels (email, in-app, push)
- Specific conditions
Best Practices
- Enable Critical Notifications: Keep important notifications like mentions and assignments enabled
- Disable Less Important: Turn off notifications for events you don't need to know about immediately
- Use Filters: Configure filters to only receive relevant notifications
- Review Regularly: Periodically review and adjust your notification preferences
