Notification Types
The different types of notifications you can receive and how to configure each.
Each notification type covers a different kind of event in your workspace. Configure them individually from Settings → Notifications.
New messages
- All Conversations — Notifications for every new message
- Assigned to Me — Only for conversations assigned to you
- Mentions Only — Only when you're mentioned
- Off — Disable new message notifications
Mentions
- @mentions — When someone tags you by name
- Direct Mentions — Direct mentions only
- Team Mentions — Include team-wide mentions
Assignments
- Assigned to Me — When a conversation is assigned to you
- Reassigned — When an assignment changes
- Unassigned — When a conversation becomes unassigned
System updates
- Feature Releases — New features
- Maintenance — Scheduled maintenance
- Security Alerts — Important security notifications
- Account Changes — Changes to your account
Team activity
- Member Changes — When members join or leave
- Role Changes — When a member's role is updated
- Team Updates — General team activity
Configuring a type
- Go to Settings → Notifications.
- Find the notification type you want to configure.
- Toggle it on or off.
- For some types, configure additional options:
- Frequency (immediate, digest, etc.)
- Channels (email, in-app, push)
- Specific conditions
Picking the right mix
- Keep critical notifications like mentions and assignments enabled
- Turn off anything you don't need to see immediately
- Use filters to limit notifications to what's relevant
- Revisit preferences as your workflow changes
