Channel Connections Overview
Learn how to connect Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and WebChat to your Cloodot workspace.
Connect your social media channels to Cloodot to manage all your customer conversations from one unified inbox. Cloodot supports Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and WebChat.

Accessing the Channel Connection Wizard
After completing payment setup and being redirected to your dashboard, you can connect channels in two ways:
Method 1: From the Inbox/Conversations Section
When you first access your dashboard, navigate to the Inbox or Conversations section:
- You'll see an empty state message: "No channels connected."
- Below the message, you'll see buttons to connect channels:
- Connect WebChat (purple icon)
- Connect Instagram (red icon)
- Connect Facebook (blue icon)
- Connect WhatsApp (green icon)
- Click on any of these channel buttons
- The Channel Connection Wizard will open
- Select the channel you want to connect and follow the connection steps
:::info The channel connection buttons appear when you have no channels connected. Once you connect at least one channel, you can add more channels through Settings. :::
Method 2: From Settings
You can also access channel connections through Settings:
- Navigate to Settings (gear icon in the navigation)
- Go to Organization section
- Click on Channels
- You'll see your connected channels and options to add new ones
- Click "Add Channel" or the "+" button
- The Channel Connection Wizard will open
- Select the channel you want to connect
:::tip The Settings > Organization > Channels page is the best place to manage all your channels, view connection status, and add new channels. :::
Connection Requirements
Each channel has specific requirements:

| Instagram Business/Creator account, connected Facebook Page, admin access | |
| Facebook Business account, at least one Facebook Page, admin access | |
| Meta Business account, WhatsApp Business account, payment method in Meta Business Suite | |
| WebChat | Website where you want to embed the chat widget |
Connection Process
The connection process typically involves:
- Authorization: Grant Cloodot permission to access your account
- Selection: Choose which accounts/pages to connect (if multiple available)
- Configuration: Set up any required settings
- Verification: Confirm the connection is successful
Managing Connected Channels
After connecting channels, you can:
- View All Channels: See all connected channels in your dashboard
- Channel Settings: Configure settings for each channel individually
- Disconnect Channels: Remove a channel connection if needed
- Reconnect Channels: Connect channels again after disconnecting
- Add More Channels: Connect additional accounts at any time
Multiple Channel Connections
You can connect:
- Multiple Instagram accounts (if you have access to multiple)
- Up to 5 Facebook Pages at once (can add more later)
- Multiple WhatsApp numbers (if you have multiple Business accounts)
- Multiple WebChat widgets (for different websites)
Each connection appears as a separate channel in your inbox for better organization.
Troubleshooting
Common Connection Issues
Problem: "Account already connected"
- Solution: The account is already connected to this or another workspace. Disconnect it first if you want to reconnect.
Problem: "Authorization failed"
- Solution: Make sure you're using the correct account credentials and have the necessary permissions.
Problem: "No pages/accounts found"
- Solution: Ensure you have created the required pages/accounts and have admin access.
