Channel Connections Overview

Learn how to connect Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and WebChat to your Cloodot workspace.

This is where Cloodot starts to feel like magic—connecting your channels so all your customer conversations show up in one place.

No more switching between apps. No more missed messages. Just one inbox for everything.

What can you connect?

How to connect a channel

There are two ways to get started.

From your empty inbox

If you haven't connected any channels yet, you'll see connection buttons right there in your inbox:

  1. Go to Inbox or Conversations
  2. You'll see buttons for each channel type—just click the one you want
  3. Follow the steps in the connection wizard

Once you have at least one channel connected, you'll add more through Settings instead.

From Settings

This is where you'll manage channels after your first one:

  1. Click the Settings gear icon
  2. Go to OrganizationChannels
  3. Click Add Channel or the + button
  4. Pick your channel and follow the steps

Settings → Channels is your home base for managing connections — you can see status, add new channels, or disconnect ones you don't need anymore.

What you'll need

Different channels have different requirements:

ChannelWhat's needed
InstagramBusiness or Creator account, linked to a Facebook Page, with admin access
FacebookAt least one Facebook Page where you're an admin
WhatsAppMeta Business account with a payment method set up
WebChatA website where you can add the chat widget code

The connection process

It's pretty straightforward:

  1. Authorize — Give Cloodot permission to access your account
  2. Select — Choose which accounts or pages to connect (if you have multiple)
  3. Configure — Set up any specific settings
  4. Done — You're connected

After you're connected

Once channels are set up, you can:

  • See all your connected channels in one place
  • Adjust settings for each channel
  • Disconnect channels you don't need anymore
  • Reconnect channels if needed
  • Add more channels anytime

Connecting multiple accounts

Got more than one account? No problem:

  • Instagram — Connect as many accounts as you have access to
  • Facebook — Up to 5 Pages at once (you can add more after)
  • WhatsApp — Multiple numbers if you have multiple Business accounts
  • WebChat — One widget per website

Each shows up as its own channel in your inbox, so conversations stay organized.

Troubleshooting

"Account already connected"

That account is already linked to a workspace (yours or someone else's). You'll need to disconnect it there first.

"Authorization failed"

Double-check that you're logged into the right account and have admin permissions.

"No pages/accounts found"

Make sure the account or page exists and that you have admin access to it.
