Common Issues & Solutions

Troubleshooting guide for common problems you might encounter while using Cloodot.

Something not working? Don't worry—we've seen most issues before and can usually sort them out quickly.

If you can't find your answer here, email us at support@cloodot.com. We're real people and we're happy to help.

Account & Sign-in Issues

Verification email not showing up

First, check your spam folder—email filters can be overly cautious. Give it a few minutes too; sometimes emails take a bit to arrive.

Still nothing?

  • Double-check you entered your email correctly when signing up
  • Try requesting a new verification email
  • Reach out to support if it's still not coming through

These links expire after 24 hours (for security). If yours is expired:

  • Try signing in with your email—we'll send a fresh link
  • If the link looks broken, copy and paste it directly into your browser instead of clicking

Can't sign in

"Invalid email or password"

The usual suspects:

  • Caps lock on? Passwords are case-sensitive
  • Typo in your email?
  • If you've forgotten your password, reset it—no shame in that

"Account not found"

  • Make sure you're using the same email you signed up with
  • If you signed up with Google, use the "Continue with Google" button instead of entering email/password

Workspace Issues

"Organization name already exists"

Someone else already has that name. Try:

  • Adding your location or a number
  • Using your full business name
  • Getting creative with a variation

Can't create a workspace

A few things to check:

  • Have you verified your email? That's required first
  • Is your workspace name between 3 and 24 characters?
  • Try refreshing and starting over

If none of that helps, reach out—we'll figure it out together.

Channel Connection Issues

Instagram

"Instagram account already integrated"

That Instagram account is connected to another workspace (maybe yours, maybe someone else's). You'll need to disconnect it there first, or connect a different account.

"No Instagram accounts found"

Instagram connection requires a few things:

  • A Business or Creator account (not a personal one)
  • The Instagram account needs to be linked to a Facebook Page
  • You need admin access on that Facebook Page
  • Messaging needs to be enabled on your Instagram account

Facebook

"No Facebook pages found"

You need at least one Facebook Page, and you need to be an admin on it. Also make sure you're logged into the right Facebook account.

"Facebook page already connected"

Each page can only be connected to one workspace. If it's connected somewhere else, disconnect it there first.

"All Facebook pages are already connected"

You've connected all your available pages to this workspace. To connect more, you'd need to create new Facebook Pages.

WhatsApp

"Failed to verify PIN"

This is the 6-digit two-step verification PIN. Make sure you're entering it correctly. If you haven't set one up yet, the PIN you enter will become your PIN.

"No eligible phone numbers found"

For coexistence mode (using the number on both the WhatsApp Business App and Cloodot):

  • Your number needs to have been active on WhatsApp Business App for at least 7 days
  • Coexistence needs to be enabled in your Meta Business settings
  • Your phone needs to be set up for Cloud API

This can be tricky—Meta support can help enable coexistence if it's not working.

"Payment method required"

WhatsApp Business API requires a payment method in Meta Business Suite. Add a valid card there and make sure billing is enabled.

Messages not sending

Check these in order:

  1. Is your payment method valid and active in Meta Business Suite?
  2. Is your WhatsApp Business account in good standing?
  3. Are you using approved message templates for the conversation type?
  4. Is your phone number properly registered?

WebChat

Widget not showing up on your website

  • Is the embed code placed right before </body>?
  • Does your site allow JavaScript?
  • Clear your cache and refresh
  • Check the browser console for JavaScript errors
  • Make sure your site isn't blocking external scripts

Messages not coming through to Cloodot

  • Double-check the embed code is complete
  • Is the WebChat channel still connected in your settings?
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting the channel

Messages & Conversations

Messages not appearing

Give it a minute—sometimes there's a slight sync delay. If they're still not showing up:

  • Check that your channel is still connected (Settings → Channels)
  • Try refreshing the page
  • Look for any connection error indicators

Can't send messages

  • Is the channel still connected?
  • For WhatsApp, is your payment method active in Meta Business Suite?
  • Try refreshing the page
  • Check your internet connection

Can't see conversation history

  • Check your filters—you might have something filtered out
  • See if the conversations are in the archive
  • Make sure you have permission to view conversations (ask your workspace admin)

Performance Issues

Things loading slowly

Some things to try:

  • Check your internet connection (are other sites slow too?)
  • Clear your browser cache
  • Try a different browser
  • Disable browser extensions temporarily—some can interfere

Something not working in your browser

  • Make sure your browser is up to date
  • Try clearing cache and cookies
  • Test in a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
  • Check that JavaScript is enabled

Keeping things running smoothly

A few habits that help:

  • Keep your email verified — Required for account recovery
  • Use a strong password — Or stick with Google sign-in
  • Check your channel connections periodically — Things can disconnect sometimes
  • Keep your WhatsApp payment method current — Messages won't send without it
  • Clear your browser cache occasionally — Fixes weird glitches
  • Use a modern browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge, kept up to date
