Connect Facebook

Connect Facebook Pages so Messenger conversations land in your Cloodot inbox.

Connect Facebook Pages to handle Messenger conversations from Cloodot. Each Page appears as its own channel, and you can connect up to 5 Pages per run.

Before you start

You'll need:

  • A Meta Business account
  • At least one Facebook Page
  • Admin access to the Pages you want to connect
  • Messaging enabled on those Pages

You can connect up to 5 Pages per run. Repeat the flow any time to add more.

Connect Facebook

1. Open the Channel Connection Wizard

Start from one of two places.

From the inbox (no channels connected yet)

  1. Open Inbox or Conversations
  2. Under "No channels connected", click Connect Facebook (blue icon)

From Settings

  1. Go to SettingsOrganizationChannels
  2. Click Add Channel or the + button
  3. Select Facebook

2. Authorize your Facebook account

  1. Click Authorize Facebook
  2. Facebook opens its sign-in page
  3. Sign in with your Facebook account
  4. Grant the requested permissions:
    • Manage your Pages
    • Read Page messages
    • Send messages as your Page

Sign in with a Facebook account that has admin access to the Pages you want to connect.

3. Choose which Pages to connect

After authorization, you'll see every Page you have admin access to.

  • Check up to 5 Pages
  • A counter shows how many you've selected (for example, "2 of 5 pages selected")
  • Pages already connected to a workspace are hidden

Each Page becomes its own channel. Repeat the flow later to add more Pages.

4. Connect your Pages

  1. Click Connect X page(s) (X matches your selection)
  2. Cloodot connects each Page as a separate channel
  3. A success message confirms the connection

Success

Your Facebook Pages are connected. Messenger conversations will flow into your Cloodot inbox.

Managing Facebook channels

View Messenger conversations

Messenger conversations appear in your unified inbox. You can:

  • Filter by channel to see messages from a specific Page
  • Search Facebook conversation history
  • View customer profiles and conversation context
  • See which Page each conversation belongs to

Working with multiple Pages

  • Each Page is its own channel
  • Filter conversations by Page
  • Assign team members per Page
  • Analytics are tracked per Page

Disconnect a Facebook Page

  1. Go to Channel Settings
  2. Find the Page channel
  3. Click Disconnect and confirm

Disconnecting stops new Messenger messages and deletes the conversation history for that Page.

Reconnect a Facebook Page

Run through the connection steps again any time.

Connection limits and requirements

  • Up to 5 Pages per run — Repeat the flow for more
  • No total cap — Connect as many Pages as you manage
  • One workspace per Page — A Page connected elsewhere can't be connected again
  • Messaging enabled on each Page
  • Admin access to every Page you connect
  • Active Pages only — unpublished or deleted Pages won't work

Troubleshooting

"No Facebook pages found"

  • Create a Facebook Page if you don't have one
  • Confirm you have admin access
  • Enable messaging on the Page
  • Sign in with the right Facebook account

"Facebook page already connected"

The Page is already linked to a workspace. Disconnect it there first, or connect a different Page.

"All Facebook pages are already connected"

Every Page available to you is connected. Create a new Page, or disconnect one to swap it out.

"Authorization failed"

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies
  • Try a different browser
  • Check your internet connection
  • Disable pop-up blockers for the auth window
  • Confirm admin access to the Pages

Messages aren't appearing

  • Wait a few minutes for sync
  • Confirm the Pages are still connected
  • Confirm messaging is enabled on each Page
  • Refresh your Cloodot dashboard
  • Confirm the Page isn't unpublished
