The All Contacts view is your main contact list – a powerful table where you can search, filter, edit, and export contacts.

Accessing All Contacts

  1. Go to Contacts in the left sidebar.
  2. Click All under the Contacts menu.

You’ll see a table listing every contact stored in your workspace.

    • Filters: Open the Quick Filter drawer to apply temporary filters.
    • Segment Selector: Apply a saved segment to the table (e.g. “High value customers”).
    • Live Toggle: Turn on Live mode to auto‑refresh contacts every few seconds.

  • Table:
    • Rows represent contacts.

      • Name – Contact name with avatar and color
      • Email – Editable inline
      • Phone – Editable inline

      • Conversation Fields – Read‑only columns that summarize conversation‑level custom fields
      • Actions – Button to open the contact editor

Searching & Filtering

  • Search Bar:
    • Type a name, email, phone, or keyword.
    • The list will update after a short delay to show matching contacts.
  • Quick Filter Drawer:
    • Click Filters to open the drawer.
    • Add one or more filter conditions (for example: label, created date, custom field value).
    • Choose whether all conditions must match (AND) or any can match (OR).
    • Apply the filter to instantly narrow down the contacts list.
  • Segments:
    • Use the Segment dropdown to apply a saved segment.
    • When you select a segment:
      • The banner above the table shows how many contacts match and which segment is active.
      • Manual filters and quick filters are cleared so the data matches the segment definition.

Live Mode

  • Toggle Live on to:
    • Automatically refresh the contacts list every few seconds.
    • Keep the table in sync with incoming conversations and new contacts.
  • Turn Live off to:
    • Stop auto‑refresh and work on a stable snapshot of data.

Editing Contacts Inline

You can update some fields directly inside the table:

  • Email & Phone:
    • Click on the value to start editing.
    • Type the new value and press Enter or click away to save.
  • Custom Fields (Contact):
    • For text/URL/phone/email fields – type directly.
    • For number fields – type a numeric value.
    • For select / multi‑select fields – choose from the dropdown options.
    • For date fields – pick a date from the date input.
  • Campaign Opt‑in:
    • Use the switch to enable or disable campaign opt‑in for that contact.

All changes are saved automatically and update the backend.

Viewing Contact Details

  • Click on any contact row to open the Contact Details drawer.
  • In the drawer you can:
    • See full profile information (name, email, phone, image).
    • Review recent conversations and custom fields.
    • Make deeper edits depending on your workspace settings.

Bulk Actions & Deletion

  • Use the checkboxes on the left to select one or more contacts.
  • When contacts are selected:
    • An action bar appears at the bottom with the number of selected contacts.
    • Click Delete to remove the selected contacts.
    • A confirmation dialog will explain:
      • How many contacts have conversations.
      • How many have no conversations.
    • Confirm deletion to remove the selected contacts.

Note: Deleting a contact is permanent. Be careful when deleting contacts that have conversation history.

Pagination

  • The table shows a fixed number of contacts per page (e.g. 10 per page).
  • Use the Previous / Next buttons or page numbers at the bottom to navigate.
  • The footer row in the table shows how many total contacts were found.

Downloading Contacts as CSV

You can export contacts to a CSV file for use in other tools:

  1. Use search, segments, and/or filters to narrow down the list (optional).
  2. Use the Download CSV action in the page header.
  3. Configure the export:
    • Number of Contacts: Choose how many contacts to include (within the allowed range).
    • Sort By: Choose Last Interaction or Created Date.
    • Additional Data:
      • Include labels from recent sessions.
      • Include custom fields from recent sessions (if any exist).
  4. Confirm to start the download.

Your browser will download a CSV file named with the current date.
