MCP Servers

Configure Model Context Protocol servers to extend your AI copilot's capabilities.

MCP Servers (Model Context Protocol) allow you to connect external tools and services to extend your AI copilot's functionality.

What are MCP Servers?

MCP Servers are integrations that:

  • Extend your AI copilot's capabilities
  • Connect to external APIs and services
  • Provide additional context and tools for AI responses
  • Enable advanced automation features

Accessing MCP Server Settings

  1. Go to Settings → Copilot → MCP Servers.
  2. You'll see a list of available and configured MCP servers.

Adding an MCP Server

  1. Click Add Server or Connect Server.
  2. Select the type of server you want to connect:
    • Browse available server types
    • Search for specific integrations
  3. Configure the connection:
    • Enter required credentials
    • Set connection parameters
    • Configure permissions
  4. Click Save or Connect.

Managing MCP Servers

Viewing Server Status

  • See which servers are connected and active
  • Check connection health and status
  • View last sync or update time

Editing Server Configuration

  1. Find the server in the list.
  2. Click Edit or the server name.
  3. Update configuration settings.
  4. Click Save.

Disconnecting a Server

  1. Find the server you want to disconnect.
  2. Click Disconnect or use the actions menu.
  3. Confirm the disconnection.

Note: Disconnecting a server may affect AI features that depend on it.

Available Server Types

Common MCP server types include:

  • API Integrations: Connect to external APIs
  • Database Servers: Access external databases
  • File Systems: Access file storage systems
  • Custom Tools: Connect custom-built tools and services

Best Practices

  • Secure Credentials: Keep server credentials secure and rotate them regularly
  • Monitor Usage: Track how servers are being used and their impact on performance
  • Test Before Production: Test new servers in a safe environment first
  • Documentation: Keep notes on what each server does and why it's connected
